FUCK YEAH! Midnighter and Apollo

So a new author on Stormwatch starts things off with a literal bang when the bad guys go back to the beginning of time and change history so Stormwatch starts all over from the beginning. Starlin and Guichet get a lot of things right—the tone is good, someone has finally realized Apollo/Midnighter needs to start in media res, Apollo has long hair, MIDNIGHTER LOST THE STUPID CHIN SPIKE—but I can’t get invested because they’ve gone through four or five creators so far on this title and nothing ever gets a chance to pay off, so why take the time and energy to care about this storyline? It’s not that I WANT to be cynical and jaded about it, but I literally look at the info dump sections and go “Eh, this is all temporary anyway…”
